Howdy Folks,
Many folks have asked me about western holsters and western belts for “Replica Guns,” and that requires a dual answer. Replica Guns can be the kind that actually shoot, made by companies such as Colt, Uberti, Beretta, Cimarron, Taylor’s, EMF, United States Firearms (USFA), Smith & Wesson, Ruger Vaquero, Pietta, and many others. The second kind of Replica gun would be the non firing kind that can look so identical that a knowledgeable person might need to examine one to tell the difference.
Western Leather Holsters & Replica Guns
Size matters. The non firing gun replicas almost always are larger and will not fit a western holster sized to a Colt. These non firing gun replicas are not built for hard use, they are basically for display. We have a great variety of these for sale including a nickel Schofield and a nickel Colt that are next to real. Kids should never play with these replica guns with out adult supervision.
Our Western Holsters and Western Belts for both styles of guns can range from the basic cowhand to the fancy gambler with lots of conchos and sparkling cowboy buckles. Speaking of conchos and buckles you might have noticed that all of the hardware suppliers to the leather trade have begun to discontinue many styles. As a result we have now started to reproduce quite a few historical and movie conchos and buckles. Many more are in the production stage. All are in stock. Most are hand cast in solid brass for a gold tone or solid white bronze for a silver tone. Nickel plated coming soon!!! They do NOT come from a foreign country, and are marked Chisholm’s Trail made in USA. This keeps small businesses here and not in some far away location draining money and jobs from America. Several new items are on the Historical and Movie button. At the bottom we have added the Tom Selleck ”Saber River” rig and the Sam Elliot ”Oregon Trail.” We are working on several trilogies including Monte Walsh and Crossfire Trail to go with the Selleck Collection. The Elliot Collection will also have Conagher and Desperate Trail rigs.

Howdy, and welcome friends new and old. Well, this is our first attempt to bring some new and exciting news about Chisholm’s Trail Old West Leather to you. We have been told that this message is what is called a BLOG. (BLOG – Who do you suppose thought up that handle.)
We Make & Provide Custom Western Holsters, Old West Belts, Historic Buckles and More
Anyway, we can write all about any new western holsters, gun belts, pant belts, new line of historic buckles that we are now making, any historical old west leather that we are now producing – all kinds of good stuff – and let you know about it in this BLOG (what a funny name for a written message). We don’t need to put it in an envelope, put a stamp on it and get pony express to ride across county to deliver. It will all be here for you to look at whenever you want to read about any new products regarding our cowboy leather and goods.
Since we are also historians and have traveled extensively out west to old west museums and libraries to examine old west holsters and Western gun belts, if you have any questions when you are ordering from us, don’t be shy – we are here to help you make your selections. Advice is free – so if you have a Colt, Smith & Wesson, Ruger, Merwin & Hulbert, or anything in between and are not sure of period correct gun leather, we can help. Don’t forget to look at our line of Rifle Scabbards and Bowie Knives. They are great looking and the price is right. The premier article for the summer issue is “3:10 to YUMA” and, yep, that is our old west leather on the cover. If you miss this one, be sure and get the fall issue. It will be all about the 20th anniversary of “LONESOME DOVE” and, yep, that will be Chisholm’s Trail Old West Leather on the cover again. If you have an interest to purchase the actual leather on the cover, we get it back after the magazine is finished with it and all the leather goes up for sale. Better put your order in for these pieces ASAP as they go fast. WOW – owning something that was on the magazine cover.
