Western belt buckles being custom cast by Chisholm’s Trail Leather
Chisholm’s Trail is now producing Western movie and historic vintage belt buckles, badges & jewelry. We decided to do this as a result of the majority of companies that are discontinuing items of the old west. In our quest to outsource to US small businesses only, we have located a highly skilled designer and a casting source for brass, white bronze, Sterling Silver and gold. Our castings are from virgin brass- not melted down artillery shells filled with impurities. We will continue to collect and reproduce new and unique buckles, badges & jewelry found in the American West. All of our items are heavy duty. No tinny buckles found here. If you have a unique buckle share it with us we’d like to make it ! Western belt buckles is our forte.

Western belt buckles
our western buckles in Old West museums in Texas, Arizona, Montana, Wyoming, New Mexico and other Old West locations. Chisholms Trail Leather western buckles have been selected by Hollywood movie armorers for several western movies during the last decade, including 3:10 to Yuma (bad guys’ holsters, buckles, belts), The Legend Of Hell’s Gate, Cowboys & Aliens, an upcoming Val Kilmer western about Doc Holliday, and even Miley Cyrus’ belt buckles and holsters and belts for her most recent western world tour. If you strive forare a premier product of Chisholms Trail Leather. We know of no other company that makes the quality, diversity and authentic western movie and vintage historic buckles that we do. We have researched the real thing, then Chisholms Trail Leather western buckles are what you are looking for, partner. Give us a call and make your order. We’re the real thing.
Chisholm’s Trail Leather is constantly searching museums and curio shops in the real Old West. Every year, we travel to locations such as Dodge City, El Paso, Abliene, Tucson, Tombstone and other towns steeped in the history of the Old West. We carefully examine the real articles, many over 100 years old. We are often required to wear white cloth gloves, to protect aging historic gun leather damage from elements or human hands. We measured, photographed and analyzed Geronimo’s original gear, for instance. That is one of the reasons that Hollywood armorers and producers have come to rely on the authenticity of our Cowboy gear. Not many people devote the kind of time and research into their work the way that Chisholm’s Trail does. Care. Precision. Craft. Artistry. Experience. That’s Chisholm’s Trail Leather.
Buckles are one of our fortes. Authentic western movie and historic vintage buckles. What you see in the movies may have come from us. You see, Hollywood producers ask their armorers to find the real thing. Everyone involved with cowboy movies wants it to live and breathe the reality of that bygone era. Our buckles are one of the keys to making that happen. Sunlight glints off the bronze, copper, silver and other metals used in the fabrication of the buckles and catches the eye. Buckles are as much decorative as they are functional, for holding up your britches. If you want real, you want Chisholm’s Trail Leather buckles.
We cast our buckles in the time-honored traditional methods used when those buckles of the Old West were cast. We used thick and heavy metal, solid and true. We don’t want anything substandard with our imprint on it. Only materials that we hope will last a lifetime. Unless Johnny Ringo shoots at it, that is. But even then, our gear is liable to surprise you.
